Kaughlin Caver (Zachariah)
Kaughlin is excited to make his Underground Theater debut with "Brown Bodies on a Blue Earth." Kaughlin began his journey in creative arts as a songwriter/ recording artist performing across the East coast. He has training from Freehold Theatre and Greenwood Studio. With an impressive repertoire spanning both film and theater, including standout performances in "Santa vs Ninja," "Cerebria," "Harrison Quinn," "Tartuffe," "Ghost Train," and "She Devil of the China Seas," Kaughlin promises to deliver an unforgettable performance. Outside of performing arts, Kaughlin is passionate about innovative tech and can be found in the metaverse. Jeffrey L. Cheatham, II (Simeon)
Jeffrey Cheatham II is an actor whose passion for the craft ignited at Langston Hughes in 2017 with "Every 28 hours". With a repertoire spanning stage and screen, Cheatham has captivated audiences in acclaimed productions like "12 Angry Men" and "Pipeline" at Acts on Stage Theater. His silver screen debut in "Homeless or Right at Home" under Homestead Entertainment showcased his versatility and talent. During the pandemic, he enthralled audiences in online productions such as "Tartuffe" from Virtual Theater 2020 & "It's a Wonderful Livestream" from The 14/48 Projects. Currently, Cheatham is making waves under the representation of TCM Models & Talents Agency in Seattle, poised to bring his magnetic presence and skill to new heights in the entertainment industry.
Donovan Mahannah (Reed)
Donovan Mahannah is excited and grateful to be a part of this amazing production! Recent credits include Choir Boy (Junior Davis, ACT/5th Avenue), Twelfth Night (Sebastian/Illyrian, Seattle Shakespeare), Romeo & Juliet (Benvolio, Island Shakespeare Festival), and Bold Stroke for a Husband (Don Julio, Island Shakespeare Festival), Endless love and appreciation to his family and all who have supported his dreams!
Rachel Nellie (Clover)
Get ready to be captivated by the debut performance of Rachel Nellie as “Clover” with The Underground Theatre in this work premier production of “Brown Bodies on a Blue Earth”! Having honed her craft in both theater and film, Rachel Nellie boasts a rich repertoire, starting acting in 6th grade. She most recently worked for Disney Cruise Line, on the Disney Wish, understudying Ursula in “The Little Mermaid” and performing as the lead vocalist in “Disneys Victrophonics”. Eugenia "Snow" Pierce (Deejay Flo Sister)
Eugenia will be making her theater debut with @theunder206 as “DEEJAY FLO-SISTER” (@r3lifecoach). With over 35 years as a professional singer, she’s shared the stage with renowned acts like DaNell Daymon & Greater Works Chorale, Emerald City SDA Community Choir and has opened for artists such as Fred Hammond, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Jonathan McReynolds.
Lakia Solomon (Swing / ASM)
Lakia Solomon is a transplant from California— and before you sigh heavily— she hails from Northern California, a rainy, cloudy, Seattle-like climate. She studied at the Oregon Center for the Arts where she graduated with a BFA in Performance. After a stint at the Oregon Shakespeare festival as the Understudy for Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, she then worked at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival touring with their School Program before settling back in her hometown to work locally. After moving during the Pandemic, she is making her Seattle theatre debut as the Swing for all members of the lovely cast of Brown Bodies and in the role of the ASM for The Underground.

Brodrick Ryans (Director)
Brodrick Ryans (he/him) is a Seattle-based musical theatre artist, director, teaching artist, and Casting Director while also teaching for several local companies. Brodrick serves as the Casting Associate and Artistic Liaison for The 5th Avenue Theatre. Brodrick also worked as the Education Coordinator for Seattle Children's Theatre from 2019-2021. While serving as the Education Coordinator, he joined the circle of Emerging Leaders in TYA for TYA/USA. He helped to develop some national curricula, including the national curriculum for A Kids Play About Racism. Brodrick feels honored to have been able to direct Brown Bodies on a Blue Earth and hopes that you enjoy the show.
Lynette Winters (Stage Manager)
A Seattle native with Decatur, Georgia roots, Lynette always aimed for Broadway’s musical throne. A multi-talented force with 32+ years in the game, she’s sung, penned, and spun stories from editor to top scribe. In 2021, her debut teleplay “You Gotta Start Somewhere” had audiences rolling in the aisles. Now, she’s rocking with the Brown Bodies in a Blue Earth crew. Lynette’s wit’s sharper than a director’s cut, and her tales? Well, let’s just say your mama might blush. Stay tuned for more screen and stage adventures from this urban storyteller.
